I am wondering if one needs to rent a specific corn cob blasting machine, or if one may use a typical sand blasting machine but be able to use corn cob media in it.
Or if anyone has any other machines that would accept corn media i would greatly appreciate the knowledge!
Chris,
You need to rent a machine built specifically for corn cob. You can rent these through Perma-Chink, and many of there suppliers.
I rent many of these all over the country and they normally keep the Blaster Buddys in really good working order and will teach you how to use them.

We have some friends that purchased an older log home that needed the outside stripped. They hired an individual that used dry ice to do the stripping. The only residue left was the old stain. The dry ice evaporated and left nothing behind. They were very satisified with the results.
Not to steal a thread, but have been trying to got your prices for a while for renting....I'm in your neck of the woods a good bit and prefer the kernel.... www.atouchabovepainting.com
The cob blaster rental is $80.00 a day and the cob is $16.00 a bag and there are 40 lb bags.
