The Log Home Neighborhood

we have thousands of artillery fungus spores all over the outside of the house.  They are tiny black dots - look sort of like poppy seeds.  They are almost impossible to remove.  I got them off the windows with a razor blade but any help would be appreciated.

Here is a link so you know what I am talking about:

Looks sort of hopeless as far as getting off.

Been there done that! I had it all over parts of my house and truck. The house we were able to paint over and the truck I traded in for a new one. It is a fungus that loves to grow in bark mulch. I would keep the bark mulch fluffed to help keep the fungus from growing. It is no fun.

Judy & Lee,

Oneof our bloggers who might be the best to consult on this is See Dirt Run.

Meanwhile to try something strange, use Pam cooking spray on a very small area. It does a great job of desolving baked on dead bugs on cars down here in Florida. The idea is it adheres and softens without harming the paint on cars. I have no idea if it will work on the fungus but it shouldn't do harm or staining as some of claims of using strong detergents, bleach, and Simple green.
