Give a call to I-Wood-Care at 800-721-7715. They're in upstate NY in the Finger Lakes area. They specialize in log and wood home care products and work with a lot of contractors in NY. Talk with Kelly. She'll be able to give you some recommendations.

You can also find some in & around the New England region on our contractor reference page on our website: http://www.sashco.com/log/contractor.aspx. Not all are based in NY, but many travel all around the New England states.

Hope that helps!

We are pretty reliable, and very familiar with log home maintenance. We have done some work on the east coast.

We could definitely help you. It would have to wait until next year though.

The Cabin Doctor is located in New Jersey and does work in New York. They are very reliable and capable of doing all types of restoration and repairs. You can contact them at www.cabindoctor.com or call 609/758-0555 and ask for Scott Alvik.

Hope this helps.

I recently had my log home in the Adirondack Mountains power washed and sealed.  The product we used was 'Sikens'. I cant tell you enough how happy I am with how it came out.  Although they have a few different products, we used the 3 step process that includes two coats of stain/sealant and then a final topcoat sealant.  It's like the logs have a tough 'shell' on them now.  It looks great and nothing gets past that topcoat!

The trick is a REALLY good power washing of your home to remove any debris and mold, then people familiar with the ' Sikens ' brand.

Good luck, hope this helps...

This is three months since you posted, and maybe you already decided. But I'll be in Southampton and the north fork in early December with other new clients and to visit several of our existing commercial and residential structures. If you have pictures to share ahead of time, I can size things up and see if worth your time to have me visit. I have crews that travel and do maintenance, as long as the finish result needs to be worthy.
