I am new to this website and i have been enjoying reading some of the comments posted here.
We are purchasing a log home that does not have ventilation system installed in the kitchen. We do not want to cut a hole through the walls or ceiling which will certainly cause potential leaking problem in the future. We are thinking of installing the Jenn-Air downdraft cooktop that has the duct-free kit. The duct-free kit actually filters the air before it is released back into the kitchen. Just wondering if anyone here has every used it or heard of anybody that has used it.
i would love to hear some suggestions or comments!
I see this a little late, did you already figure out your kitchen duct/ductless system? Well anyway, I purchased a Jenn-air downdraft stove/cooktop that has an outside duct. This was 15 years ago during the building process. Best decision ever, functions perfect for the kitchen pulling all odors, steam etc. out away from the wood.
