The Log Home Neighborhood

An online log home community for log home enthusiasts.

Hello.
We bought a new to us acreage that has an older section of log home...

We are learning lots from the process and would have done things differently knowing what we know now...but here we are?!

One side of the log house structure has a lot of soft logs-the previous owner said they had them filled with caulking and spray foam and then they painted it all to help seal and protect them...the interior full logs look great-

Questions: how does this sound? Are we safe to not have to media blast them and reface them for awhile?! I have had mixed answers from local companies...?!

I am looking to chink the interior and replace some windows because we had a few Asian beetle infestations and some pretty cold drafts...this should help seal and preserve and protect the interior?

I'd love some options and help?!

Hey, Ryley.

There's a lot to know! I'm going to have one of our Tech Experts give you a call sometime today. They can walk you through some of your questions and hopefully help you take some next steps.

We'll be in touch!
