Hi guys,
I'm living in North York with my wife and family.
We're going on a vacation trip next month. We are so excited about the trip. Especially the kids!

But right now we're in kind of a dilemma. Our house is a rented one. Now the landlord is asking me to vacate the house. I had already booked the tickets and I can’t cancel the trip too. I'm thinking about renting a self-storage unit so that I can keep my things safe.

I already found a storage unit provider in North York. If anyone has rented a storage unit, please share your suggestions.

I’m using a storage unit for the past few months since we will be selling our home and wanted to clear our storage closets and de-clutter for showing. I’d suggest using one that has 24/7 access so you can access your stuff anytime convenient to you vs being limited by their operating hours.  Additionally, one that has security cameras. When storing, keep things off the ground by using pallets or rubber totes in case of flooding. Also use moth balls and things to deter mice in case your storage “neighbors” store things they shouldn’t. Finally, periodically check on your unit to make sure no entry occurred.
