The Log Home Neighborhood

An online log home community for log home enthusiasts.

We built our log home 24 yrs ago. Always have been diligent about my log care, use Woodguard every couple years. The house is southern pine logs.  Just recently have experience the unruly "clicking/knowing" noise of what I'm 99% sure are old house borers, just above our master bed in the wall. I did buy some injectable borate which I have since applied. I also plan to powerwash that section to bare wood, apply Bora care on the logs then re-apply the Wood Guard. I'm also going to inject something called Totality wood care. it's a "contact" killer verse bora care requirement for ingestion. Has anyone done anything different to rid themselves of these?
