I’m looking for some personal reviews from anyone who has had a home built by precision craft or Harkins.
I know everything there is to know about precisioncraft I built over 20 of their log homes anywhere from 800 square feet to 10,000 square feet in several varieties of wood but I have no experience with Harkinsh....
Great to hear someone has worked Precision. I’m looking at both companies because they do handcrafted log homes. Harkins does a white pine full scribe home which are beautiful but I’ve been concerned about the white pine and how the home will react within the first 10 years.
Precision does the handcrafted but the logs aren’t scribed which leads to chinking which I’m not totally happy with. But with PrecisionCraft I like how they pin all the logs together from the floor to the roof which I’m told helps the logs dry or settle individually.
Any thoughts about handcrafted log homes and the wood variety?
