Can a log home be tented to kill termites and boring beetles.  If not, why.  Thanks, Cynthia

We just purchased our log home in August 2016 and during our inspections they found old wood borers.  We did have the house tented and now just have a yearly termite inspection done.  This was expensive (about $20,000) but there were about 20 people on site and an expert flew in from California.

Thank you, Cynthia

Last month, I had bought a new log home. Our home looks beautiful from outside, but after a few days some wood-boring beetle and termites have started immersing the interior of the logs which had led to a severe damage.

I had used borate-based preservatives that has been widely practiced to keep the logs free from beetle and termites which rot the wood. This kind of pre-treatment provided an affordable way of preserving the wood. But, for protecting our log home for a longer time from these beetles and termites, I had decided to evaluate these infestations by hiring a professional pest control Concord CA experts' team for proper identification and safety.
