Hi All,

Im currently working on fixing up my 1940 log cabin and I would like to potentially replace one of my vertical corner posts. The cabin has been seriously neglected over the years and was in real bad shape when I bought it a few years back. On the back of the cabin there is a chain that goes from one post to the other (Im assuming to hold it up/straighten it out) as the previous owner was afraid of it falling down.

Can you tell me what is the best (safest) way to remove and replace the corner post on the rear of the cabin? Please see my pics on my page
