Thanks, Denny. No, it's not a bed and breakfast though we can sleep 22 plus 3 cribs if we use the guest house and bunk house - big family on holidays. The lodge is 3 bedrooms, 3 baths plus loft and finished walk-out. It lives cozy when it's just the two of us but large enough for the whole crew. Cost to stay here? Priceless!
Beautiful lodge, Debra. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos. I can only imagine how cool it would be to live in a full log home. It is so welcoming. Is this a bed and breakfast, by chance? ;-) How much to stay there?
Scott, we went with full logs because each one is different and unique. When you cut them you make them all uniform and that wasn't what we wanted. There is no drywall - we used full logs absolutely everywhere. They are scribed and fitted and there are no bolts or nails at all. It is the most comforting and secure structure I've ever been in. We wouldn't change a thing. The large logs are great insulators, too. Everybody likes a different style but this was the one that was perfect for us. We wouldn't change a thing.
Debra, very nice.... what made you decide on full logs verses cut logs? Love your snow pictures. I'm very jealous.
