- My Husband Craig and I are building in west Tn , North Alabama ,North MS. and Soutern KY. We are enviromentaly friendly. Never do we use green timber , only "DEAD STANDING" timber from high elevations in the Rocky Mountains. We have three crews , who happen to be Amish. If your wondring how Amish traval , they have drivers. They build solid,
tight , ceative homes. We feel blessed to have our crews and the product we have. Between Dead standing timber and Amish crews , we have had 100% Quality. www.otisfarmloghomes.com

Just curious: Given the state of the housing industry, how has it impacted your business? As the editor of Log Home Living, I hear a range of reports from log home companies----some good, some not so good----about home buyers. I don't often hear from builders. Much of it depends on which part of the country they're in...for example, the mountain West is doing fine.
Again, just curious how things are in the trenches...
