I have a small cultivative area 1/2 acre near Han river in my country. In the criteria in U.S., it is very small spot, but I like it. My plan is to build a small log home with my hand. Nice to see you all guys, be a good friend but I need some knowledge how to build the log house.
Anyway thanks.

Are you lucky enough to be living in a log home?

Import used log home

My idea is just a simple.

Could I import a used log home? Is it a possible in U.S. in reality?

If possible I want to import that log homes to my country.

Because most Americans are richer than Asians here.

If Someone who wants to rebuild his /her new log home in U.S., the one should pull out the old log homes but it is not waste policy if some Koreans rebuild it here in Asia.

Mr Lee:
I have built in South Korea I live in America. The person I built for had a bad time with the port inspection in South Korea. The wood needs to be stamped and inspected before South Korea will let it in to South Korea. The stamp says that the woods have been in hot room to kill any bugs so South Korea will not have new bugs eating there woods My wife is from South Korea and you can E mail her with question jhkim_04@yahoo.com

Hi welcome ,here in New Brunswick Canada is a loghome builder ,who put the house in containers and ship them ,a lot off the houses he shipped were going to Germany ,because he is from there and he is living overhere to buy his wood direct ,and he bought many acres to get his wood from,he just sold a house to China ,but t is expensive ,this one was big ,so a smaller one is cheaper in wood and schipping ,you need 1 or 2 or even more containers ,that makes a different ,i gife you his e-mail adres and info so you can contact him and wil find out ,a old log home rebuild is not an opption i think ,because old loghomes are hard to rebuild or even take the home down is already very hard.www.gebhardtinternationalcedarhomes.com ,of cause also for other loghome builders , or people how love loghomes

There are many good reference books in the library that you could use to get an education on construction methods. I would also suggest that you subscribe to, "Log Home Living" and "Log Home Design" magazines. To find out how to get subscriptions, you might want to contact Michael McCarthy. You can find him in the "member" section of our web site.
