Our upstairs is yet completed. Needs pine on the walls and flooring. We do what we can when the money is available. We have built ours ourselves. No kit! Just hard work...but it's Ours!

Check out our pictures....It's small but now that the children are all grown and gone....it's perfect! Great talking to you.....

In some cases Denny,  Most are package homes (except the timber frames, all of those are cut by us at the shop and then sent out), but as with many there are many cuts that have to be done in the field.  The truss for ex. was a Neville home that we constructed but all that is cut from their factory are the saddle notch corners so we have to craft all of the scribe fits for the trusses, roof purlins, etc.  Thanks for the comment

Hello Denny,

I appreciate the warm welcome.  I have been a log home dreamer since I was a small boy growing up in Montana.  Well now I am closer to retirement, own a wonderful piece of Montana dirt...my dream will come true soon.  I am excited to learn from folks in the LH.comNeighborhood.

Denny,

Sorry to hear you had to sell your bike.  If you enjoyed riding as much as we do, we can certainly feel your pain.  Nothing better than riding in the mountains!  One of our priorities when looking for our lot was a paved access road specifically for safe riding. However, we have come up on a couple gravel roads unexpectedly.  They make for some pretty precarious driving conditions.  Typically we turn around but when it's absolutely necessary to continue we just take our time.

Thanks for the welcome Denny! You have a beautiful house & setting. I personally feel very lucky to wake up in my home & watch the sun rise with a cup-o-coffee every day. Although today it's pouring rain. My current project is building log beds, nightstands & chairs from ceder trees. My ultimate goal is to get my house in a magazine or article of some kind.

Have a great Saturday.

Chris
