We have a cabin in Gatlinburg, but are trying to build in Bryson City Nc.
We are doing this for our family gatherings, but have to rent them out with a management co while not in use. That makes the payments.
I am also a builder with a good Christian crew that loves the mountains like we do.
We live on a ski lake in Tampa and build docks
Are you lucky enough to be living in a log home?
no

Sadly, I don't currently have a cabin. Living and working around Washington DC doesn't provide many opportunities to own a log home as a full time residence. But growing up, my family had a cabin northeast of Pittsburgh PA just outside of a tiny town called Emlenton. Some of my best childhood memories took place there: weekend getaways, family reunions, fishing with my dad—even the time I rode my bike down the hill of our dirt driveway, hit a rock, flipped over the handlebars and landed in a nettle patch. I was covered from head to toe in itchy welts, and to make me feel better, my dad bought me ice cream at a little roadside stand we'd stop at on our way home from every visit. To this day, we call ice cream "Larry's cure." One day, I'll have one on the water. In the meantime, I envy you your cabin. It looks like a fantastic place to make memories.
