My wife and I started out with Amerlink for our home. After a large deposit and having that bad feeling with them we took a lost of about $1000 and got our money back. A year later we found our log home from Satterwhite log homes. We could have not been happier. I am sorry to hear that they are this type of company. We are glad we just lost a small amount. Hope you can recoup you money. However please don't let this stop you from your dream home. We could not be happier with our home and we built it ourselves.
My nightmare with Amerlink is similar and includes a lien from a supply company Amerlink did not pay. My husband and I are interested in joining actions against Amerlink. lorettac362@aol.com
We have given Amerlink $100,000 to design a home and are awaiting delivery in April. We have stamped plans, but that is it! I'm assuming that they are going bankrupt and we will never see the money or the home. Does anyone have recent information as to what is going on? Their website is down, and I have heard nothing from them. We are trying to decide whether we should have a different log company build our home and take our loss with Amerlink. Please let me know if anyone has any news about their status.
Eddie..I don't know if you are aware of it or not but now some of the suppliers to Amerlink are filing for liens on our properties. Today I received a certified letter from the truss manufacturer that Amerlink was using. Custom Building Concepts out of Arkansas sent the letter stating they intend to file for a lien against my property for the trusses they delivered for Amerlink. I am going to contact a lawyer in the a.m. in regards to this, but I would like others to know. If you have any info on this matter PLEASE let me know. My personal email is .. lesa12361@yahoo.com
Thanks

Update- Amerlink finally paid the roof manufacturing company and it was delivered to the job site a little over a week ago. We are missing a front door and like you we are out thousands of dollars that we had to use to get the house off the ground, which will keep us from completing the inside of the house until next year sometime. I am grateful that we received what we did and know that there is a higher power guiding us. We did our research and got stung, however we should have a very nice house when completed. I too feel really bad for the people who received far less than we did for what they paid.
We are in the same boat with Amerlink. Currenlty Amerlink will not pay or ship for our Metal roof that we paid for in Dec 2007. I would be interested in talking to you about your issues. Please e-mail me if you are interested. Thanks, Stephanie
