"Good idea!  When I do my interior reachable windows, I dry them with newspaper (wear gloves) and they are streak free!  I also use vinegar, I throw some in my windex!   Merry Christmas everyone!"

Edward Davis replied to Edward Davis's discussion Window cleaning
"Sorry Judy, for that I have to pull out my taller ladder and paper towels. I've been told that the window cleaners with the telescoping pole handles you can pick up at the hardware store do a good job with 1/2 vinegar & 1/2 water mixture."

"Great - now how do you clean the INSIDE of the windows so they don't streak??  Also need to clean the inside of the windows high up in the vaulted ceiling????"

"Or you could get windex outdoor, hook it on your garden hose and spray away!  Easy and it works!"

Profile Information

Tell us about yourself:
I was born in a log home that my dad and uncle built with logs they cut and hewed by hand the old-fashioned way. When I retired in 1996, I began building & selling log homes. Since that date, our family business has expanded with my son following in my footsteps. We've built many log homes around Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado and love our job as much today as we did in 1996.
Are you lucky enough to be living in a log home?
yes

Hi Ed, We have been in business a long time and have never had a relationship like these folks. Refreshing isn't it? We have been with them for six months and already have a sale. The client contacted Katahdin through this site. Good luck

Thanks for the pictures. I really like the window and door trim but we are far away from this step. When the time comes I will try to copy what you did; it adds extra charm to the inside of the cabin.

Yes I was aware of that, thanks. Full log will likely not be an option unless we want to wait a few extra years to build something. Full log is not the priority. A quality house at a price we can afford sooner rather than later is.
