"I'll check it out.  We bought one of the deer feeders from Cabelas on 3 legs that spits out the corn at preset intervals but the turkeys can stand under it and twirl the thing around so some of the corn comes out.  We put some green…"

"Judy and Lee, You can make home made pvc deer feeders that are hanging or up high enough to feed the deer and the turkeys can't get up to eat all the corn. I am thinking about making one. I liked the one with the 45 degree elbow facing up. Just…"

JOHN MILLER replied to JOHN MILLER's discussion Finishing off fascia and soffit where eaves meet gable ends???
"Thanks for the replies. I think that we are going to make the return flush with gable wall so it doesn't take from the fascia on the gable end at least it won't have the dog ear look from the gable side of the house.  "

Raymond Wengerd replied to JOHN MILLER's discussion Finishing off fascia and soffit where eaves meet gable ends???
"John, the house with the green roof does not have soffit returns. Returns add support to the eaves and give you a vertical fascia to hang spouting.....in my opinion, the proper way to do it. To mimic your desired look, you would have to remove the…"

John - congratulations on your "new to you" log home! Very exciting. I have an educational booklet called Keeping the Dream Alive that I can send to you. It goes through the steps of finishing a log home from beginning to end. It's not sales-y at all, simply knowledge. Let me know if you'd be interested and I'll email it your way. My email is cbabcock@sashco.com.

Thanks! -- Charis with Sashco
