While I'm online here, I just want to send up a big Thank you to Charis at Sascho. We primarily use Sansin products which we love, but were called to do caulking on a house recently stained by another company using Sikkens. We had trouble locating a caulk that would be compatible with the Sikkens stain during the timeline the homeowner wanted the caulking completed. Charis investigated and gave us specifics on when & how we could use Sascho's Conceal Textured Caulk. Following her guidelines… Continue

We don't get much humidity here in Maine .....maybe about 2 weeks out of a summer and the rest is fairly good and dry....But these staining products sound great.....We shall do our research and thank you for helping out too....

Our cabin logs have never been stained. We used years ago

some kind of a sealer on them. Our North side needs attention.

We are looking into some stains for the spring......Any suggestions

to what we should use? Our cabin is almost 29 years old......We

should have done something years ago. The logs we cut ourselves.

They are cedar logs. We love the old look of them.....but time to think

about staining for protection......

Yes, it's disheartening some of the comments being made; trust me, we've been targeted more than once for building a 'log sided' home instead of full log.
