Hello Folks, For the past 28 years or so we have built log homes with numerous species of log that has been kiln dried, pressure treated, air dried, and green from on site locations.Cedar is not more expensive than pine.Katahdin Cedar Log Homes has manufactured Northern White Cedar Log Homes for over 40 years in Oakfield Maine. When comparing prices make sure that the components included are the same.Look at the windows and doors because it makes sense that if you want the most efficient home that the quality of these components is the best.Submit your plan to usaloghomes.com and compare without spending a dime.Manufacturers spend time and money to duplicate the natural properties of cedar so it pays to compare.Consider the long term advantages of cedar when doing your research.
