Love your cottage and the lake! You made an excellent choice!

Just the thought of visiting our cabin makes it hard for me to work when I know we are going there soon. Ours is a 2 hours flight or 14 hour drive but soooooo worth it.

Enjoy!

Fantastic cabin! Acreage around it? Looks like you are just a little north of us as we are east of Lake City. Plan is to move up permanently in December if we can sell the farm downstate. Yours looks very rustic like something from a long time ago and that just adds character. Yes, it will be a lot of work but that first quiet night that you get to relax by the fire and enjoy the quiet will let you know that you've come home. I don't know if that is a work table or a kitchen island in one of your photos but I can tell you that if you choose to put in an island, it will be the one addition that makes you a hero in her eyes! There just didn't seem to be enough counter space until I built an island and now it has become the work space as well as the gathering spot for guests who like to hang about the kitchen. Good luck and safe build!
