- We are a couple who grew up in Pa. moved to Fl. raised 2 beautiful girls here, we are so grateful to have a small log home outside Murphy N.C. We intend to use the place (Bearadise) as a vacation and family Retreat.

Thanks for your comments. So far so good. The weather in Tennessee, where we are building, has been rainy for weeks so the property is really muddy, but work hasn't been impacted that much. My husband and I have visited the area around Murphy, NC many times. You vacation home is really in God's country-one of the most beautiful places in the world. One of our favorite spots is Highlands, NC. -- Carol
