Thanks for getting back to me, I'm very familiar with the area you live in. I'm in Bent Tree, just off of Procter Road.
If you have read any of the blogs that I have written than you know that I still have not put my house up for sale. I just can't afford to take the 10% to 12% hit I would have to take in selling now. As much as I hate to do it I plan to hold out till fall of 2009. If I don't see any change in the market by then I will be forced to sell at a lower price and unfortunately do some down sizing on the log home I want to build.

I notice that there are several Sarasota natives registered with Log Home,com. If I can be helpful to you with "things" that I have learned over time concerning the building of a log home (although I haven't even started any meaningful dialog with a log home manufacturer) please feel free to contact me.
