I have been researching log home manufactures for 3 yrs now. I have boiled it down to 4 Log Home Council Members: Appalachian Log Home Structures, Gastineau Log Homes, Hochstetler Milling and Honest Abe Log Homes.
I have visited all 4 and cannot put forth a bad word for any of them. They all have their "niche" that separate one from another thru there experience in the industry over the years.
Customer service is at the top of the list at all of them for sure. All I can do is…

My wife and I have decided on the "corner/log style" of our log home. We like the saddlenotch style because it starts with a full log all the way around the foundation instead of 2 full logs and 2 half logs to begin the initial course of logs. It's just a cleaner look in our eyes.
Gastineau, Honest Abe and Appalachian Log Structures offer such a corner. All are members of the Log Home Council which is important to me (us).
