We need some advice on installing gutters on our brand new log home, we hate the thought of having to do this because of the appearance but we have been strongly advised to do so.

I wouldn't recommend to powerwash the inside of the home if you have the electrical in and insulation! You could sand the interior with a Orbital Sander, Oborne Buff it, or Hand wash it.
