air leaks

I appreciate the info. I will check it out. I also have a large amount of lady bugs and now wasp invading my home so I think I also need to invest in more caulk....I think my builder did a poor job with sealing up the home period!
Many Thanks Sharon

air leaks

Is there any easy ways to find air leaks in a log home? Is there any special equipment that must be used? I am tired of very high electric bills this winter.
Thanks Sharon

Sharon, we did use the same contractor and our log cabin experience was anything but pleasant. She was never at the job site, however we were lucky and had decent sub contractors. She did show us your house being built when we were considering her. I understand the hardship you are going thru now. We also are out of money (not to mention hidden costs) and she abandoned the job after she got her last draw. We are saving up and doing a little at a time. Right now my husband is doing the stone work on the exterior. But we will get there eventually
