Stephanie left a comment for Sharon"Sharon, we did use the same contractor and our log cabin experience was anything but pleasant. She was never at the job site, however we were lucky and had decent sub contractors. She did show us your house being built when we were considering her.…"

Yes, we used a NC contractor out of Hayesville. We was very displeased with her and her so called subcontractors. I believe she yanked any one she could find off the streets to work for her! Thus the results shows in our home! Hope…"

We too are trying to complete it, there are so many air leaks...we found daylight in one of the attic spaces upstairs where the pitched roof meets the soffits.....just one of the many issues. I feel your pain! It is too bad she still has her license!

Greg Beck in MO. here, I noticed you left the bark on the trees that you used on the exterior of your cabin, we are planning to use trees for porch post, I was told to debark them for bug reasons, but the bark looks better, did you treat the trees with anything ? also how long did you let them air cure before using them if any ? thanks Greg.
