Be sure to point out to your wife that you can have flat log walls inside (even with a handcrafted log home)

I haven't looked at "blond wood". Is it a type of Maple maybe? I'll have to do a 'net search and see what I can find out about it. I'd love it if we could fabricate the doors ourselves but I'm thinking the learning curve plus the tools for that k...

Not too wise, I'm afraid. Just smack in the middle of building our home and being a numbers/money oriented kind of person I'm spending a lot of time looking at costs!! LOL! BTW, not trying to get too off topic here but we're looking at DIY cabinet...
