Terry I'm new to this web-site, where at in Mayslading are you located? I'm looking for property somewhere around water, I have not made up my mind yet. Are you doing the renovations yourself??

Terri - I saw your comments on Anne's page and I had to come visit yours once I saw a picture of your adorable dog!! That face just drew me in!
What a big project you're taking on by tearing down your house and building a log home - I look forward to seeing pics of your project!
If you get the opportunity to visit Old Virginia - it is well worth the trip. We were able to see the men actually hand hewing the logs. We also stayed in their guest cabin which was fairy-tale like - I'll try to post a picture...It's not twelve hours, but it's a long trip for us, too - we live on the coast at the other end of the state. No dogs, but two kids. Good luck! Anne
Thanks - we felt very fortunate to find them. Our contractor has built log homes from several different companies and he says Old Virginia has the best package he has seen. Good luck! We actually have to drive out to their office to pick up some extra stair rail we initially omitted - I'll put in a good word for you! Welcome and keep us all posted on your progress! Anne

I somehow deleted your comment, I think - but, yes, it is an Old Virginia home - we love it and they were great to work with.
