Hello!  We need to replace a bay window in our 30 year old log home.  We want to replace it with a picture window.  We received an estimate of $11,000.  That seems really high to me.  We live in NH. …Continue

Has anyone built an in-law suite to their log home?  Did you put it over the garage?  I need to keep it attached to the main house per zoning laws where I'm building and I am wondering how other…Continue

"That seems very pricey! I'd have a few estimates before making a decision. When I replaced my windows it was no where near $11,000. "

Replacing windows

Hello!  We need to replace a bay window in our 30 year old log home.  We want to replace it with a picture window.  We received an estimate of $11,000.  That seems really high to me.  We live in NH.  Does anyone have any feedback as to whether or not that is a realistic cost to expect?  It is a large window, but...I find it hard to believe it costs that much to replace one window.  We plan on getting at least one more estimate, but I thought I would ask here as well.  Thanks!!  :)See More
