Our builder has been building Katahdin homes for many years, so it was pretty seamless, with no major problems. I can tell you some things we learned: We wished we had stained the house before the windowsand doors went in. Make sure your plans are accurate and throw away previous versions if you have any. Katahdin changed my kitchen window to what I wanted, but somehow it got changed back in the final set of drawings, so my kitchen cabinets were off and had to be adjusted. We acted as our own GC and kept the place clean and neat for the builders which they appreciated. If you think of particular questions as the building progresses, feel free to drop me a line. Alison
