A dream come true...

I am a firm believer that you can do anything you put your mind to. Whether it's overcoming a personal obstacle or building a log home - if you want it bad enough, you'll do it. I found this out the hard way!

Why I Love Log Homes

Some people ask why a girl like me would love log homes. Well, there's a simple answer to that one... I believe log homes bring families together. Like my family - some of my fondest childhood memories took place at my Grandsha's (Grandsha is Grandfather in Welsh) cottage in Bobcaygeon, Ontario.

My mom still remembers the day her dad took her to see the cottage... they looked at several before that but none of them *felt right* like our cottage did. It was built on Pigeon Lake in the early 1900… Continue

Sometime we will go to one or two log home shows but we are still a ways off from building. The closet one to us so far is Dallas. Is that one more of a western theme or is it like the other log home shows?

Amber - was excited to see your widget on bringing the Log & Timber show to Detroit! I seconded the demand. People forget that Michigan ranks #5 (or around there I still believe) in the purchase of log homes in the U.S.
