Hi Danielle,

In 2004 my husband and I realized our dream of building a log home. Unfortunately it turned out to be a nightmare. We used Battle Creek Log Homes and the builder that they provided. I can't say that Battle Creek supplied us with an inferior product, but the builder cartainly was. I read your posts about the problems you've encountered with them and would like to talk to you in more detail about it. I think we might have had the same drunken, unqualified crew. We try to just keep ignoring the problems and kicking ourselves for not throwing them off the job. But if they have done this to other people I would like to know if there is some recourse against them. And at the very least, a way to stop them from ruining the dreams of other people.

Hi Danielle, It was actually with some friends of mine that wanted to build 2 cabins and at the time I was really busy so I could not build it for them so they went with Battle Creek.The builders got done with about half of the homes and Battle Creek did not pay the builders as they had agreed on and the builders just took off. I had to later go in and on my spare time had to finish the cabins. It took Battle creek several months before they were able to get credited back for the work that was not done by the builders. It was a mess.

Hi Danielle, I also had some issues with Battle Creek and know of someone else who was not happy with them either. I am amazed that they are still in business. They use several builders for there packages and some really do not have a clue on buiding log homes.
