The Log Home Neighborhood

An online (log home) community for log home enthusiasts.

As of 7:30 AM (East Coast Time), the Log Home Neighborhood has 500 members! We would take a minute to pat ourselves on the back for setting this up, but not only would that be corny, it would also take away the credit from the people who deserve it most: You.

Amazed. Blown away. Tickled pink.

These are some of the feelings we've collectively had in the few months since this block party got started. Without you all, we have no community, we have no Neighborhood, and to be honest, we have no fun!

So, from the bottom of our collective hearts, we want to say "thank you." Thank you for making this community the amazing place that it is. Every day we get to witness what the words "community" and "neighbor" really mean.

Here's to another 500 members just as great as our first 500 charter members. (If we could only be so lucky.)

You guys are awesome.

I was extremely happy to become a member of the Log Home Neighborhood. Over the last ten years we have been involved in the building of log homes. We have heard all of the reasons that we shouldn't build log homes. These reasons are always from either those that do not know anything about log homes of from people that have had a bad experience building their log home. This site allows those of us to give advice based on our experience or the experiences of our customers. Barbara and I love to help any one that is building a log home and we do that on a regular basis. We certainly do not get involved with the building process of other companies but there are many questions that we can answer that can help some one who is building a log home. We tell our customers that they can call us any time if they have a question. Usually the questions are of a great concern of the customer but they are simple answers for those of us that do this on a regular basis.
I am really happy to see so many knowledgeable people here that are willing to share their ideas with us. We can always learn something new everyday. Every time that we build another log home, we get great ideas from our customers and it almost makes us want to build another one.

The Neighborhood confirms what I learned the first week on the job: Log-home enthusiasts are the warmest, nicest and most giving folks on the planet. It's a wonderful phenomenon, and I'm proud to be a part of it...

This was Andrew's brainchild----he's just too humble to boast about it. Kudos, dude. You've created a great community. More neighbors to come!

Michael - your whole group is great! Met so many interesting people, picked up so many neat tips and I agree with you - there is no one nicer (and dare I say smarter) than a log home enthusiast!

Really glad to have found this blog. My husband and I built our log home two years ago on a lake outside our home town. Hope to retire there someday! I had to be talked into going the log home route and now that its built, wouldn't have it any other way.
