Having a great summer so far at our log home. It's been 3 years, the projects don't end but the wondrous moments continue including seeing a fox for the 1st time and having my Loons return to our lake. I've shared some photos below. What is happening at your log home?

Love the new pics. Your "puppy" is growing up too! Bob and I finally retired this summer and moved to the mtns. Still unpacking boxes and settling in...It's been sooo hot. Thought we left that behind in FL! Pixie seems to love being a full time log cat too:)

Ok guys, bear with me...I'm just learning how this add pic function works. Thanks again Emily. The messges in my first comment are backwards. The baby birds (& their parents) were the first real residents to live here. Below there should be a pic of one of many of our humingbird friends. They were visiting before we moved the first piece of furniture in..so hanging our feeder was a top priority.

This family resided right outside our bedroom window. Their last a few weeks.

This guy frequented our site quite often til our home phone service was put in. We believe the contractors may have done something to hurt it.

Shelley,

It'll look like mumbo jumbo in the comment box because the "Add an Image" button will insert html. When published, it'll turn from mumbo jumbo into your photo.

Hope that helps!
Emily

Shelley - hi....thanks for the info. When trying to add them from my pic folder through my browser is how I end up with the mumbo jumbo and rats!! I don't have picasa. Oh well, adding them to my page will just have to be enough. Thanks.....our porch is one of our favorite features.....we spend alot of time there. Take care

Hi Shelley - I was looking at the photos of your home - so beautiful! My next log home is going to have a covered porch like yours! For loading the pics, when you download from your camera it should go into a picture file. So when you select the pic icon on the log home u to add a photo to your post, you should be able to browse until you find your pic folder and then select the photo you want. (Another way is to upload your photos to Picasa, copy the html code and paste into the html post selection.) Let me know if this helps!

Shelley, Good to hear from you! Not sure if it's been me without internet access for a month or if it really has been that long since you've blogged..... Great pics!! Beautiful colors. I do have some pics of wildlife around our cabin since we moved in a month ago but I have to be honest....I guess I'm a little more technologically challenged than I thought..... would you minds sharing how to add pics to a blog? I've tried adding through the icons above the comment section but all I end up with is mumbo jumbo. Once again.....great to hear from you! Thanks.
