Holiday Recipe Exchange - Log Home style

Ok, so it's not exactly log home related, but who doesn't like to eat—especially around the holidays, right? A few months ago, we created a Community recipe exchange in our Just For Fun forum. A few people posted, but we kind of let it die off. Now that the holiday season is upon us, member Glenn V has rekindled my enthusiasm by sharing his mother's recipe for Delicious Raw Apple Cake. Sounds perfect for Thanksgiving, and I can't wait to try it. Check it out and post your own culinary concoctions, go to Food For Thought.

Oh, and Anne, if I was able to make it this weekend to the game, I would most certainly find you guys and share some cookies with you!

Ok, I posted the recipe in Donna's Recipe thread - it is getting close to that season of sharing (and you never know when Santa's checking that list!) so I figured I'd be nice and share.

Hey Donna - it might be too late this year - but what about a log cabin gingerbread house contest for next year"s magazine and/or the web? That could be fun! Dee

I think Shad might be a CIA agent -- he won't give it up. I have shared the cookies with my co-workers, but my reasons for sharing are actually selfish--if I eat all of them myself, my hips won't fit in my office chair! In fact, I skipped lunch today so I could eat more!!! :-)

Pumpkin cookies, one of my favorite. My brother just came to so-cal to visit and brought a small container of 12 pumpkin cookies from our friend and fishing partner Fred Gaul in Grand Rapids Mi. I dare say i did not share. I have to admit that these were the best cookies I’ve had in years. Donna … how are they… did you beat Shad up for the recipe.

Oh my gosh - Shad actually brought me cookies!!!! And let me tell you, this is a recipe well worth guarding. He wasn't kidding when he said this is the best cookie recipe in the world. Thank you so much Shad--I was kidding, but I'm glad you took me seriously! A cookie delivery every Monday at 10:30 will be just fine. :-) (totally kidding!!!) But in all seriousness, you rock!!!

Cookie Delivery on its way - I'll drop them off before noon! Assuming I can remember the way...

Anne, I like your thinking. Shad lives less than 10 miles from our office. I think a cookie delivery is in order, Shad! :-)

SHAD!!!! That's not fair...I'll tell you what - you don't have to share the recipe - just send us some samples:)
Anne
