At this time we just finished two large coffee tables, out of cedar stumps and redwood natural edge slabs. The first one is about 72" long and 28" wide and 3" thick. The second is 42" wide and 72" long and 3" thick sitting on a large cedar stump.
We coated these two tables with a 2 part epoxie system fron Klear Koat products, It give it a nice thick top coat to protect the wood,
We used this to help in stabelizing the natural edges, When working with natural edges such as bark or weatherd woods some of the end will chip away a little more easy then a squared edge, So by applying the thick epoxie this coats it and hardens the end and making thme vary hard to damage.
