The Log Home Neighborhood

An online log home community for log home enthusiasts.

Two years have passed since I have been on this site.  The first time I was on here I was looking for ways to update and protect my mom's old log home from damage.  Unfortunately, during that time, she lost her battle with cancer and is no longer with us.

One of the things I wanted to give her most when she was alive was her dream home. Since that time, we have been able to bring her dreams to reality by having a wonderful contractor come in and bring some charm into the old place, just the way Mom would have wanted it.  Hope I manage to post the before and after pics correctly:

Actually that's the old mortar, it's just been given a coat of paint to get rid of the grey look

Stacy,

The house looks very nice in your photos. Looks like you went with the synthetic chinking. I think you should realy like how well that seals the home up. Should make a difference in the electric bill. You can check but you might qualify for a tax credit for the chinking.
