Has anyone installed a tankless water heater? Which is better, gas or electric?

Hard to say because it provides all of the hot water for radiant floor heat as well (1600 sq.ft.). So we use a lot of kilowatts to heat water for heat, not domestic use. We probably spend more than it would cost to use oil but our driveway would make getting deliveries difficult some winters.

How is your electric tankless on your electric bill?

I have a Siesco electric tankless. It backs up my solar hot water and helps heat my radiant floor. No experience with gas, so I couldn't offer a comparison. But the electric works great.

If you are just going to use it for domestic hot water (no space heating) I would imagine there is not much difference cost wise for usage.
