An online log home community for log home enthusiasts.

Today I am reworking the position and attachment of the garage for this nice lake side cabin.

Today, I'm working on remodeling an old plan for my clients who are courageously going to build their own handcrafted log home. I mean scribe and fit the logs themselves! Here is a prelim sketch of the elevations.

Bob, that elevation on my coment below didn't come out very well.
I'll try again. Nice looking home!

Hi Bob !
The first picture is actually the back side of the house.
Here is a cleaned up elevation of the back.

We added a deck off the dining / living room. There wil be a nice pond out that side of the house to add to the view.

Courageous is right. But the size is right and it's really good looking. You've got some nice details in this design, Rick.

I'd love to see what's going on at the other end of the house. Can you post an elevation of it? How much open roof is there? Have you worked a balcony into the design? It looks like the great room area would work best without one. But then I don't like them anyway, hence I'm hoping it doesn't have a balcony. It would make the roof system much easier to build, that's for sure.

In any case, its not a rubber stamp model like so many log homes are. Very nice indeed. Good luck to your clients, and when it gets to the picture stage, encourage them to post a few.
