My husband I just retired and are enjoying our new lifestyle in our log home in NC. Having lots of fun decorating it. Now beginning to work on some flower beds but some of that may have to wait until spring. As a native Floridian, I'd never really experiended a change of seasons. This is great! We always decorated our FL home with 3 or 4 live Chistmas trees including one 14 ft. This year we will start a new tradition of going to a real tree farm and getting our tree instead of Home Depot! Can't wait!

Whitney, got the copy of the "Country's Best Log Homes". Thanks for the article. When will that issue go to the news stands? I've been to our local Barnes & Noble everyday so I can buy some extra issues. I plan to frame the magazine cover and the page with the write up and put it up in our cabin.

Hi Whitney, I didnt see anything on the home cad/ design your own cabin, in the july issue of log home living, was it in that mag or a different one, maybe I missed it ? I need to buy or downoad a frebbie for my cabin. Thanks Greg
