Hello Whitney, Back in the day there was Log Home Living Magazine, road trips, phone calls, snail mail, home shows, lineal packages, and 12 inch spikes. Today, you can become an expert in days. Our industry is prepared to lead the Green movement and show folks how to save energy and natural resources. Technology enables us to make better products and build better renewable resourced homes. The Dream is alive and well. Where are you building? Just kidding. Thank you, Jim and Pam Katahdin Cedar Log Homes
My husband I just retired and are enjoying our new lifestyle in our log home in NC. Having lots of fun decorating it. Now beginning to work on some flower beds but some of that may have to wait until spring. As a native Floridian, I'd never really experiended a change of seasons. This is great! We always decorated our FL home with 3 or 4 live Chistmas trees including one 14 ft. This year we will start a new tradition of going to a real tree farm and getting our tree instead of Home Depot! Can't wait!
Whitney, got the copy of the "Country's Best Log Homes". Thanks for the article. When will that issue go to the news stands? I've been to our local Barnes & Noble everyday so I can buy some extra issues. I plan to frame the magazine cover and the page with the write up and put it up in our cabin.
I would probably be interested in letting some pro's design my floor plan, we are just shelled in and are still tossing around ideas, let me know if I qualify, I tried to contact u before about an semi-related article, but got no reply, see below post, Thanks Greg Beck in MO.

Whitney... a warm welcome to you and your black bear... I assume that's either a bear or 'Bigfoot'. Either way, glad to have you join our community and you really should sign on to 'Log Dogs, Cats & Critters'.
