Hi Colleen, Come to Delaware and escape the high cost of living and big tax bills. Folks seem to feel that log homes should be in the mountains. Log homes belong anywhere you want to be and can make your land most appealing. Passive solar gain and wind should also be considered when you want to build. Don't limit yourself to typical ideas because log homes belong wherever you want to live. Go to usaloghomes.com to see what's possible.  Jim and Pam Katahdin Cedar Log Homes

Hi Collen, My Name is Mike and My girlfriend is Susan. It is nice to find someone living in Jersey looking to also build a log home. I have been researching construction costs, packages, etc. We have been look at building in West Virginia. From the research I have done on that, West Virginia is a beautiful location to move to.
I have been fed up with this state for years. Well enough of that. Good luck in your search. And may God be with you and everything you do.

Hi Colleen - your dog is beautiful! If we hadn't built here in Michigan - my dream was to build a log home out west. We took about 2 years to find our perfect land - good luck with your search!!
