The Log Home Neighborhood

An online (log home) community for log home enthusiasts.

I just finished working on an article about ceiling fans (coming soon in Log Home Living October 2008!) and of course 3 days too late, I find the coolest ceiling fan product: a stone fan pull from Lake Stone Cabinetry Knobs & Hardware. So I must talk it about it now. See?

How pretty is this? It's made with stones found along Lake Ontario. Perfect complement to logs, though I think I might order a few for my studio apartment (only 10 bucks!) and hang a row along a wall or in the entrance to the kitchen. The company also hawks knobs (obviously), wine stoppers, jewelry, lamps, so if you're into stone...

Lake Stone Cabinetry Knobs Comment by Lake Stone Cabinetry Knobs on July 3, 2008 at 2:57pm

We are truly amazed at the color and brilliance that each individual stone contains. We find green, blue, yellow, red and even purple at times. This is the only place on earth that naturally produces these types of stones and their colors. The wave action produced by the drumlins sets the lake up to be a giant tumbler – these stones are continually rolled making them smooth and rounded. The limestone or fossil stones are 450 million years old containing wonderfully preserved cephalopods from the dinosaur age.
Just picture yourself surrounded with beautiful stones gathered from Lake Ontario ~ each one unique in its own splendor. The essence of this beautiful area is revealed in every stone.

You can feel the spirit and energy of this beautiful lake as you discover her rich, vibrant, multi-colored stones ~ grounding and centering ~ taking you back to the beginning of time itself.

A variety of colors and shapes are available for you to create one-of-a-kind hardware for any kitchen, bath or distinctive stand-alone cabinetry piece. As this is a product of nature, we cannot guarantee that each knob or stone product will be identical, only that you will enjoy this rustic beauty found only here.
