I'm sorry but I'm a bit upset and I have to share it. It bothers me when so many people join a group such as ours and then simply wait for someone else to make comments, either in a blog or with one another. BUT when the founders of the concept and the website don't respond to simple questions, well that is unforgivable. I won't go into specifics but I think you know who you are. I think when I joined our group I was number 134 or close to it. Being that there were so few of us it was not surprising that very few were lucky enough to own a log home. At last count, I think the number of members is over 530 plus. With that come more folks who own log homes. I find it amazing that there are so many people now who are "Log Home Neighbors". At last count there were 495 and growing. I also find it amazing that there are so many people from Florida who are members. Like me they have the vision of a different kind of life. I read at a lot of real estate ads for property, land, acreage ... what ever you want to call it. But what I really love is the descriptive language. "Don't miss this lovely parcel with it's picturesque rolling ...". Rolling, rolling, how about a 60 degree slope. I was just thinking about the number of log home manufacturers that LogHome.com mentioned in their web site. It think it was somewhere in the range of 650.
